Shipping containers are not only roomy, but also safe for the goods being transported. This makes sea freight the most common mode of transportation used by exporters and importers around the world. It is important to choose the right size container – one that suits our needs.

Choosing the right size container not only saves money when it comes to shipping. It’s also the key to ensuring that the goods inside them will be stored in proper as well as safe conditions.

Identify the type of cargo you will be transporting

The first step in determining the right size container for our needs is to determine the type of cargo we intend to ship or store. Will it be dry or liquid goods? Will they be heavy or bulky? Or will they require appropriate conditions, i.e. cooling, insulation, ventilation or heating? For this purpose, let us introduce you to our offer.

The smallest in our offer is the 8DC container – 2.4m x 2.20m. It weighs less than a ton, and thanks to its small size, it can serve as an ideal storage container on any property that can accommodate 3 Euro pallets. However, if we need a bit more space for storing, for example, household items, the ideal compromise between the eight and the standard twenty will be the 10DC container – 2.9m x 2.43m, which can already accommodate 5 europallets. It is also available as a refrigerated container.

20-foot containers from the Seabox range

Of course, our offer could not miss the most popular containers, namely 20-foot containers. And what can we fit in a standard 1TEU container? For example, the contents of a three-bedroom house, 100 washing machines, 400 televisions, or 48,000 bananas. If that’s not enough, we have different variants to choose from, depending on your needs;

• Container – OFFICE – 6m x 2,43m equipped with power connection to the network, lighting, windows and electric heater – mobile space, ideal for many industries,
• Refrigerated Container 20RF – 6m x 2.43m,

  • 20HC – high cube, or elevated variant,
  • 20OT – open top – 1TEU container with open roof,
  • 20FSA – full side access – has an additional pair of doors on the side wall,
  • 20DD – double doors – an additional pair of doors located on the shorter side,
  • 20HCDD – high cube double doors – what’s above and even higher, that is, high cube double doors.

40-foot Seabox containers

Now let’s move on to the largest containers that power the offering Seabox. We are, of course, talking about 40-foot containers, or 2TEUs, and two versions of
45-foot containers. The dimension of the standard 40-foot is 12m x 2.43m, which will allow us to put inside 25 Euro pallets, two to four cars, an excavator
with attachments, or 100,000 bananas. These containers are also available from us in many versions, here they are:

• Refrigerated container 40HCRF – 12m x 2,43m – high cube refrigerated – refrigerated container in elevated version,
• Refrigerated Container 45HCRFPW – 13.7m x 2.5m – high cube refriegerated pallet wide – one of the most capacious expandedpallet wide refrigerated containers on the market.
• Kontener 40DC – 12m x 2,43m – podstawowa wersja kontenera czterdziestostopowego oraz warianty, które mamy w ofercie:
  • 40HC – 12m x 2.43m – high cube – 2TEU elevated version,
  • 40HCPW – 12m x 2.50m – high cube pallet wide, i.e. expanded, elevated version,
  • 45HCPW – 13.7m x 2.50m – as with the RF version – also one of the roomiest expanded containers in the high version. It can accommodate as many as 33 Euro pallets.
  • 40OT – 12m x 2.43m – open top, or in short, forty with an open roof.
  • 40DD – 12m x 2.43m – double doors – an additional pair of doors on the shorter side,
  • 40HCDD – 12m x 2.43m – high cube double doors.
